France - Day 5

We got up at 8am this morning to go to Versailles to see the Chateaux. We ran into some trouble taking RER C to Versailles. Train service was disrupted so no train. We had to take an alternative route that required changing at Montparnasse. The Palais de Versailles was beautiful as was the garden. We saw a water fountain show, which was wonderful. It was a busy day with crowds of people floating from one room to the next with us. But the crowds flowed efficiently. We went through the Hall of Mirrors and the famous gardens. We saw a fountain show in the gardens.

We had lunch at Angelinas in the Palace. Pricey but we shared plates. All delicious. Here are the pictures:

The Angelina Club Sandwich for me and Mark to share

Mozzarella & Tomato Salad for Kiki

The Croque Monsieur for Marissa

Mark's cafe au lait
Kiki's macaroons to share with Mark

Mark's and my Lemon Tart

We also took pictures of Angelina's famous hot chocolate bottles and their dessert displays:

The Millefeuille was what I should've had  too - but how many desserts can one person eat in a day???

We toured Versailles till 5pm and headed back to Paris via the RER C train, which was back in action.

We walked past Le Petit Cler on rue Cler and made dinner reservations for 6:30pm and walked to our apt to freshen up after the long day.  Good, decent meal after a long day.

Kiki had the Tomato and Mozzarella plate

Mark and I shared the Escargots

Marissa had the Proscuitto and Bread

I had the flank steak, salad and potato
Mark and the girls had the lasagna
