Ramen at Yuu Restaurant

Felt like some ramen and some Japanese street food, so headed out to Yuu Restaurant on recommendation from Japanese friends. It was nicely satisfying. Nothing like a big bowl of noodles as comfort food.

Agadeshi Tofu

Chicken Katsu Don

Okonomiyaki

Ramen in Soy Broth

Ramen in Miso Broth

Takoyaki

Dim Sum at South Ocean Seafood Restaurant

My Schneider-Electric colleagues and I went for dim sum at South Ocean Seafood Restaurant.

The strange thing about this place is that they either do some dim sum items AMAZINGLY well or some really mediocre (like the rice rolls).

The standouts were the fried squid, the chicken feet (as told by someone else who ate it), stuffed eggplant, and the egg tarts - WOW. The egg tarts were better than anything I had eaten in Hong Kong or in Vancouver/Richmond. Yes, even better than the Patisserie. You have to order them early during your meal, since they make them on order; they come to your table fresh, hot, and flaky. Yum. Here's a pic of the best egg tarts ever:

Here's a pic of my colleague, Ash, enjoying the chicken feet. Ash...you're a brave soul to nibble on those chicky toes...
